Stainless steel processing technology
Polishing is a kind of processing technology on the surface of stainless steel. We have two kinds of surface treatment, which are satin and polished finishes. Satin brushed is to make the surface of stainless steel produce a regular line feeling, and the mirror is to make the stainless steel surface as clear as a mirror
There are also two kinds of polishing processes we commonly use.
1. Automatic polishing: good smoothness and bright surface, high production capacity, but high pollution levels. Simple work piece, small and medium-sized products can not be processed, gloss reduced, high investment and cost, and the gloss can not remain for a long time.
2. Hand polishing: for a polished finish, it can remain a long time and is also suitable for complex workpieces and high-grade small and medium-sized products, easy to operate. And the process is stable, so the gloss can remain for a long time, and the products can be mass production. Less pollution and low cost, it can be widely used.
There are five steps to process with our 304# stainless steel products: firstly we use 80# (or 60#) sand belt to remove the surface, then use 100# sand belt to make it flat, then use 180# sand belt to make the surface smoothly, 300# sand belt to bring out the gloss, and finally use sponge wheel to remove the sand hole. And for the polished products, based on 3 times sand belts, and use 2160# sand belt to make the surface smooth, then use hemp wheel (add purple wax) to remove sand holes and scratches, again use cloth wheel (add green candle or white wax) to bring out the gloss. Our satin finish products look bright, and there will not be a sand hole from visual inspection within 300mm. The service life of polished finish products will be one year longer than satin finish products. It passes through high temperature evaporation, and the acidity and alkalinity in the wax are sealed, with high resistance to acid and alkali.
Both hand and automatic polishing have their own advantages and cannot be replaced, so we use the combination of an automatic polishing machine and hand polishing. This makes our stainless steel closer to perfection.
A milling machine is used for machining hardware with a milling cutter, mainly by the rotation of the milling cutter, grooving, and drilling the surface of products. Huajian Metal Products CO., Ltd. is using an instrument milling machine to process with professional machining hardware accessories, and we also combine with a CNC numerical control machine, which can produce a variety of products. So we have great advantages in customized products.
CNC is a kind of numerical control machine, which can simplify the procedure of processing, ensure a stable quality, and improve the accuracy of processing.
Ultrasonic cleaning is a necessary step before assembling the products. When we process the stainless steel hardware, we need to use the cutting oil, so it will lead to the oil remaining inside the products, and simple cleaning can not cannot completely clean it. These stains will affect the appearance and use of the product, so we will use an ultrasonic cleaning machine to clean these stains and impurities.
Ultrasonic cleaning is superior to common cleaning, especially for the complex, irregular, and perforated products; using ultrasonic cleaning can reach the ideal result. We will also add stainless steel cleaning powder into it, which is more efficient in removing the stubborn stains on the product's surface, and make the stainless steel products brighter.
How do we ensure the accuracy of custom hardware?
Our factory is equipped with advanced modern CNC machines capable of processing custom hardware, offering a high accuracy of ±0.01 mm.
Handles are manufactured with the following tolerances:
1. Total length: ±0.5mm
2.Center-to-center distance: ±0.3mm
3. Balance correction: ±0.3mm
For sliding door systems, strict manufacturing standards are followed to achieve ±0.1mm tolerance.
In addition, we utilize custom jigs and fixtures in the manufacturing process, which can lock hardware components in optimal positions and ensure each piece of hardware maintains consistent size, shape, and positional accuracy.
Finally, after machining, we perform a dimensional inspection to ensure all products meet the ±0.1mm tolerance.
